Dr. G. A. Maddonni is an Associate Professor at the Cereal Chair of the Department of Plant Production of the School of Agriculture of the University of Buenos Aires (FAUBA), Principal Investigator of CONICET (based at IFEVA) and Director from the Graduate School “Agr. Eng. Alberto Soriano” from FAUBA (EPG-FAUBA). He has a long career in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research in the ecophysiology of corn cultivation and direction of undergraduate and graduate students. In the last 5 years, Dr Maddonni has created an interdisciplinary, inter-institutional and international study and work group (GET Ultra Low-Density Maize Network) with the aim of creating a space for reflection, discussion and generation of knowledge on corn management. corn cultivation in marginal environments. More than 30 researchers and postgraduate and undergraduate students participate in this network, belonging to 8 national and 3 foreign universities (University of Queensland, Australia; Kansas State University, United States and University of Toluca, Mexico), experimental stations, groups of producers and companies in the agricultural sector.
