Profile

plant pathogenic fungi molecular biology and disease resistance genetic engineering, and the biological control of plant diseases

Academic career

From 1980 to 1984, he studied under the Plant Protection Department of Jilin Agricultural University and obtained a bachelor's degree.

From 1984 to 1987, he worked as a teaching assistant in the Plant Protection Department of Jilin Agricultural University.

From 1987 to 1990, he was a graduate student in the Department of Plant Protection of Northeast Agricultural University and obtained a master's degree.

From 1990 to 2004, he worked as a lecturer, associate professor, and professor in the Plant Protection Department of Quartermaster University of the People's Liberation Army, and served as the director of the teaching and research section, party branch secretary, and department party committee member.

From 2003 to 2006, he studied in the subject of plant pathology at Nanjing Agricultural University and obtained his doctorate degree.

From 2002 to 2004, he was a visiting scholar in the Agricultural Phytopathology Laboratory of China Agricultural University.

From 2004 to present, he worked at Jilin University and was the first dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Plant Science.

In 2006, he went to the University of California Berkeley, University of

Missouri-Columbia and University of Washington conducted short-term visits and academic exchanges.

From 2007.10 to 2008.10 in the United States University of Illinois Corn Disease Resistance Breeding Laboratory and USDA

Soybean Disease Laboratory is a visiting scholar.

2014.11 ~ 2015.5 as a senior research expert at the University of Manitoba in Canada.

From February 4, 2017 to March 3, 2017, I went to the University of Florida to do short-term cooperative research.
